Happy (late) Halloween! After all of that trick-or-treating, there must be plenty of Halloween candy just sitting in your home. This week, I decided to make Candy Bar Brownies to make use of this excess candy. You can use whatever candy you want, preferably chocolate, but anything works! Watch the video and read the directions to make these scary good Candy Bar Brownies.

Candy Bar Brownies (yield: 9 brownies)

Ingredients:

½ melted butter (1 stick)

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sugar

⅓ cup cocoa powder

½ cup flour

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon baking powder

About 10 fun-sized candy bars, finely chopped (I used 100 Grand, Kit Kat, Nestles Crunch, Twix, and M&M’s)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Spray a square 8-inch pan with cooking spray, then set aside
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the dry ingredients (sugar, cocoa powder, flour, salt, baking powder), then set aside
  4. In a larger bowl, mix together the wet ingredients (butter, eggs, vanilla)
  5. Pour the mixture with the dry ingredients into the larger bowl with the wet ingredients, then mix
  6. Pour about half of the brownie batter into the pan, then spread, and add about half of the chopped up candy bars. Pour in the rest of the brownie batter, then spread, and add in the rest of the chopped up candy bars.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes on 350°F
  8. Remove from oven, then enjoy!
